Lexi's owner moved and left her behind. By the time we were notified that she was alone in the yard of the empty house she was very thin and was limping. We assumed that she might have been hit by a car. But, when we took her to our veterinarian it was discovered that she had a 22 caliber bullet in her knee. Surgery was required to removed it and she has recovered without any permanent damage. It's hard to believe that someone would shoot this nice little dog. Lexi is a smart, sweet, active girl. She loves the other dogs. She is a happy girl who loves people. She is like a ballet dancer who happily runs, jumps and twirls so gracefully. She spreads joy and makes us smile watching her play. She loves toys and enjoys carrying them around in her mouth and likes to take them to her bed. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She will be a great addition to most any family.
